While traveling in Cuba, I came upon this beautiful, ornate building just off the seawall avenue, the Malecón, in Havana. It was impressively backlit by the afternoon sun, as people strolled and classic cars rumbled in its shadow. Originally built in 1912 in Art Nouveau style and owned by the Velasco family, today it houses the Spanish Embassy.
